Stephen Card was commissioned to produce a collection of pictures for display on board the Queen Mary 2.

Imaginary meeting of the two White Star sisters Britannic and Georgic on the Mersey. Britannic to commence her voyage to America while Georgic has just completed her crossing.

On 27 March 1936 the Queen Mary arrived in Southampton for the first time. In the lower reaches of Southampton Water she passes the North German Lloyd liner Bremen.
